Fresh New Collection
My bold new mini collection is live! Phew, it was a crunch getting all these pieces finished, photographed and ready for you… but in the best way.
It’s been an incredible transformation that I’ve been going through over the past few months. I’m not sure if I can explain it well with words, but I feel like I’m finally becoming who I’ve always been. Does that make any sense?!
I have been a painter who wasn’t painting… full time at least. I would work in fits and starts and then let life get in the way or I would talk myself off my path. 2020, for all it’s challenges, has been an incredible year of growth for me.
I can stand in this here and now hoping for changes 2021 may bring and at the same time create the work that only 2020 will allow.
I freed myself up a bit with these four new pieces. I took some risks, stopped reining in my expressiveness and tried some new ways of working. I’m thrilled with the outcome. Stretching myself is important in my process. It is how my work grows and continues to develop in new and exciting ways.
I am now settling in to develop the rest of the work for my October show at Vaulted Gallery, the gallery that my husband and I own in Astoria, OR. The show opens on Thursday October 8th, with the Art Walk on Saturday, October 10th from 12-8pm.
If you happen to be in the area I hope you can stop by to say hello and see the work in person. I’m working on a variety of sizes from 18’ x 18” all the way up to 4’ x 6’. It’s going to be an incredible collection of my most recent work.
These four new pieces are all available in my online shop, and I have one or two spots left for custom work before my show. If you’re interested send me a message and let’s talk about what you’re looking for.
Cheers!
